Qualifications:

  • MS/Phd in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science
  • Strong software development skills in C/C++ essential
  • Knowledge of algorithms and graph theory
  • Good understanding of logic design and hardware design
  • Knowledge of EDA and prior development experience in one or more of the following areas will be a plus: Hardware Description Languages, RTL & Logic Synthesis, Formal and Simulation based Verification

Hands-on engineering skills, a good sense for customer priorities and inclinations are a must. Intimate familiarity with RTL design practices and downstream flows is required. A working knowledge of low power design techniques is required as well. Experience in working with sales teams is preferred.

Field Applications Engineer

Job Description:

Candidate will provide pre- and post-sales support to Japanese customer base. Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and field questions, install software, work with customer to successfully use product, provide liaison to Calypto's R&D, and build new demo systems. Candidate will also work closely with local sales team to derive revenue from new customers and existing customers. Domestic and international travel is required.

 

Skill Set:

  • Excellent Japanese communications skills (written and oral), English skill to communicate within Calypto is also required.
  • Ability to make customer presentations, follow up on technical issues, solve various technical issues on-site, and look for new sales opportunities within an account.
  • Strong familiarity with logic circuit, micro-architecture, and HDL based design/verification with Verilog and/or VHDL (logic synthesis and simulation based verification). Familiarity with SystemC or C/C++ and related design flows. Formal verification (equivalence check or property check), assertions, and test bench experience a plus.

Qualifications:

  • BS in ECE/CS + 6 years relevant professional experience or MS in ECE/CS + 4 years relevant professional experience.
